Privacy
What we do with your information.
Almost nothing. This website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and collects no information about you. If you email us, we have your email.
Who is responsible
Project Seraphonic is the work of Seán Patrick Conroy, an individual based in Ireland. There is no company. For data protection purposes the controller is Seán Patrick Conroy, trading as Project Seraphonic.
You can reach us at hello@projectseraphonic.com. It is the only contact route on this site.
What this website collects
Nothing. There is no sign-up, no account, no mailing list, no comment box and no form of any kind on this site. Nothing you do here is recorded or sent anywhere.
To be specific, because most privacy notices describe things their site does not actually do:
- No cookies. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you are not being asked to.
- No local storage, session storage or databases in your browser.
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no tracking of any kind.
- No third party scripts, no embedded videos and no social media widgets.
- The typefaces are served from this site, so your visit is not announced to a font provider.
- The music and film play from this site. Nothing is streamed through anyone else.
If you email us
When you write to us, we have whatever you put in the email: your email address, your name if you sign it, and anything else you tell us. If you are ordering a piece of clothing, that will include a delivery address.
We use it only to reply to you and, for an order, to send you the thing you ordered. We do not sell it, rent it, share it for marketing, or add you to any list. There is no list.
The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract, where you are ordering something. For anything else it is our legitimate interest in answering someone who has written to us.
How long we keep it: correspondence about a purchase is kept for six years, because Irish tax law requires business records to be held that long. An enquiry that does not lead to a purchase is deleted within twelve months.
Hosting and server records
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, run by Cloudflare, Inc. Like every website on the internet, its servers keep short-lived technical records of requests, which include the IP address the request came from. We do not read those records to identify anyone, and we do not connect them to anything else. Cloudflare explains what it does with them in its own privacy policy.
Buying the books
The books are sold by Amazon, not by us. When you follow a link to buy one, you are buying from Amazon under Amazon's terms, and everything you type into their site, including your payment and delivery details, is held by them and not by us. We never see it.
The clothing
The clothing is not on sale. Nothing on this site takes payment, and there is no basket and no checkout. If you email us about a piece we will have your email, and that is all, handled as described above.
Links to other places
This site links out to Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon and a small number of other sites. Once you follow a link you are on their website, under their terms, and what they collect is theirs to explain, not ours.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent for anything, you can withdraw it at any time.
Ask by writing to hello@projectseraphonic.com. We will answer within one month.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Irish supervisory authority at any time:
Data Protection Commission6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963, Ireland
dataprotection.ie
Complaints to the Commission are made in writing through the contact form on their website.
Changes
If this site ever starts using analytics, a checkout or anything else that gathers information, this page changes before that goes live, not after.
